At 36 you have got to admire the flexibility and athleticism of Patrice Evra  Cheesy

Southgate giving the youngsters a go finally, games have been fairly dull but its good to see it happen as obviously means we are going to win the world cup in 2022.  Wink

No doubt Lampard and Gerrard will be back in the squad for 2018 if the 'injury' problems continue....  Cheesy

I like to think it was his decision rather than being forced into it by withdrawals, but he could be on to something.

Pick a squad with a few old heads, and then a load of young players who are or have been at Chelsea who hardly play. They'll be fresh, keen to put themselves in the shop window, and will run around a bit.

Bring back JT as non playing captain, so that he can lift the trophy in Moscow.

Although the sensible money is on Putin; if South Korea could reach the semis by backhanders, just think how much better Putin's lot will be, after all they got Trump elected and Brexit sorted.

Can you tweet your way to a World Cup final? Although given they're hosts, don't really need that - Putin will just use his KGB experience for a bit of old-fashioned thuggery and bribery, the killer one-two. It's how they got to host the thing in the first place and it will be like the good old days for him

Someone did raise the question how Pep would react if Mourinho did something similar to one of City’s players.

Regardless of what he said it was done in a fairly aggressive manner, what if Redman had taken it the wrong way & pushed him over (in a Di Canio way).

They clearly know and admire each other too well for anything silly to happen. People normally only act like that towards someone else if they know it will be taken the right way.
