Fair play to Brighton for investing and providing such experiences for visitors but I like going to away games where they provide the bare minimum in the welcoming stakes.

America making its biggest contribution to football yet, arresting 6 FIFA execs for extradition on corruption charges

And just before the election. Blatter will just stick his head in the sand and ignore everything, though.

There have been rumblings that the Americans were about to get involved in investigating FIFA corruption for some time now. Good.

Absolutely, I think I've put this in the "Whats wrong with football?" thread. Its the equivalent of going to the Costa Del Sol for your holidays and eating a Sunday roast and watching Eastenders while you are there. It might be cosy & homely, but thats not what travelling should be about, you're missing out on so much.

I think on balance this needs to go here :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33027933

Punishment for going in admin is increased to 12 points in the FL, but the most interesting point is that the administrator has to meet with the supporters' trust within 21 days with the chance to buy the club.

The Football Governance (Supporters’ Participation) Bill 2015-16 has just had its first reading in Parliament:

Quote
A Bill to require football clubs to offer for sale to their supporters a specified percentage of shares in the club upon a change of ownership; to require that a minimum number of places on the club’s board be set aside for election by a qualifying supporters’ organisation; to define what constitutes a qualifying supporters’ organisation; and for connected purposes.

It'll be years before it becomes law (if at all) but a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately it's a private members bill, that won't get very far.

No I agree, chances of it getting anywhere are pretty slim. The fact that its even being debated can only be a good thing though. It's got a second reading in December by the looks of it.

Reformed Hereford United had their first game yesterday.

Got a win in front of over 4000 fans.

Good on them!

To be precise, its Hereford FC.....and they beat the might of FC United of Manchester...its a great story just a year on from the infamous activities and characters with whom we are all too familiar.

Couple today cheered me up,

Nice to see a player doing something good http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/arsenal-star-mesut-ozil-has-paid-for-11-brazilian-children-to-have-lifesaving-surgery-10383835.html

Also Delph not going to Man City, nice to see a player possibly looking at playing time and career over just money!
