Atrocities in westernised countries are bigger news than in the Iraq’s and Afghan’s of the world.

I expect terrorist attacks in those countries every now and again, when it happens you are almost used to hearing that sort of news so the effect upon hearing it is minimized.  When something like yesterday happens in a westernised country it’s unexpected so it’s quite rightly massive news.

Not saying its right, every life is equal but it’s the way it is.

Some might be interested in watching Oliver Stone's personal view of US history in recent years, which is starting up on Sky Atlantic on Friday.

Here's a bit from today's Guardian about it.

Yep, same here. It's tragically funny that film. Probably more so than it should be.

Kevin Eldon as the sniper who asks for the clarification between a bear and a wookie is a personal favourite.

It was patriots day so could it have been linked to that? Maybe more right-wing than we may think.

I didn't offer anything informative because I don't know, like everyone else. Oklahoma City is an excellent example where reports only hours after the bombing of "brown-skinned Arabs" being involved turned out to be nothing of the sort.

Speculation at the moment is exactly that, which was my point...

Your argument lost a lot of momentum when you linked to a newspapper.

Even BBC radio had a rent-a-quote ex-CIA guy on earlier saying it "could" have been Islamic extremists. In the same way it "could" have been the girl guides or the WI. Until more is known, I'd rather ignore the speculation.

My arguement has nothing to do with that link so well done for that. It has more to do with ghanimah comments on people jumping to conclusions.
