There have always been rumours regarding players drinking habits since I started following the town. Macari dragging players out of cairos, digbys wife,  Ireland tours with multiple shagging, Flint gobbing off and getting decked, etc, etc.  No smoke without fire, so I suggest the players avoid Twitter.

It's what Div 3 footballers do...and have always done.

Let's face it if you're in your early/mid 20's, physically in decent shape, in a new town, with not much going on, then you're going to put it about.  If you happen to be a footballer, so have a bit of celebrity, even more so.

It was the same last season....I'd have loved the opportunity  Smiley

My old man used to tell me stories of Town players in the 40's/50's, who'd have a couple of beers in the CGH with the fans on a Saturday before going out and playing.

Swindon's a small place, they're going to get seen if they're out and about so I don't know why they would deny it.

Have to remember though that going out and having a pint with a few mates is different to getting pissed.

Forgot about the Flint thing haha.

Arriba what's this about Digby's wife?

I remember hearing things about Digby's wife at the time. She was/is a bit of a loon apparently getting into all sorts of trouble fighting and stuff.

When things go wrong it seems all sort of shit is suddenly discovered!!  Under the Danny Wilson regime we regularly had players being carted off home pissed by "my mate's brother who is a taxi driver!!"  Hands up how many on here had a bevvy or two over the weekend and went to work this morning!!

Hardly relevant, unless this forum is littered with professional athletes

Having 3 days a week off now, and not the usual half a day under Di Canio probably doesn't help. Fitness played an important factor on our success.

The players had half a day off out of seven days? Regardless of matches etc? No wonder Kerrouche didn't fancy it.

I remember singing 'Tracey Tracey Digby' at at least one match, such was her notoriety at the time. It was after some incident in a car park IIRC.

Poor old Fraser.

Got to be said when I saw him at the CG last he was signing lots of autographs for women of a certain age. Didn't realise the man was a heartthrob...
