God I miss that passion
I'm sure MacDonald will probably celebrate just as much as Di Canio whenever we finally manage to score again

I know we would like someone else with his passion, the problem is that there isn't anyone else like him.
You could see it in the players, they would run through brick walls for him.

The way Sky are speaking PdC has never celebrated a goal before.
If they want to see a proper celeb, see Northampton away...

We could have an emotionless manager for all I care as long as we get results.
Di Canio has gone, he's moved on (hopefully) so it's probably best that we all try and do the same. Every time Sunderland play, we're going to get this outcry of bemoaning mixed with the conspiracy theories. He's is clearly a great manager. The party ended and he left.
MacDonald will forever be 'the man who had to replace Di Canio'. Perhaps it would have been more sensible to have brought in an interim and then appointed a full-time boss (MacDonald) in the summer?
It's all done now.

You can already see the same distinctive tactics and discipline he stamped on Swindon in the shape and commitment of the Sunderland team.
Did get a bit lucky though with 3 absolute pearlers flying into the corners.

Just went outside for a smoke and there were half a dozen mackems out there, who looked old enough to know better, practicing their "PDC knee-slides"
I live about 100 miles from Sunderland.

From before the game. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=774112Originally Posted by damok666 I've dreamt the 3 -0 win twice this week - and both times Johnson has scored hitting them on the break, cutting into the box from the right wing.

Must be the world's happiest man around now.

Crazy to think that some of our fans were glad to see the back of him.
Muppets.
Not exactly, people didn't like the way he left - that is all.

Good post and totally agree. However our current situation is making it quite difficult to move on and stop saying 'if only'.
