yeah I thought it unlikely. Wasn't trying to trip you up jj. I'm genuinely interested.

I hope we find out a little more today with the meeting, they may go into a little more detail about this and we will know, although I do doubt it because I guess from any owners point of view "it is not really our business" even though we as fans do like to think we know it all when we actually know very little of the finances of any club we follow.

The thing is that under Fitton and Wray we were informed much better with good communication which at least made us feel part of proceedings, whether or not that is the case is neither here nor there, we at least felt we were "in the know".

I fear those days have passed us now though and it will be much more cagey running of the club as it seemed to be under Patey, a need to know basis, or even less.

I'd imagine that all of the soft debt within the (old) holding company was wiped. This would've been all of the cash that Black pumped in over the years to fund transfers & the day to day running of the club.

What remains to be seen is whether Black will retain his debenture over the leasehold.

Are we likely to find this out? is this sort of information released at board meetings/annual accounts etc etc?

I expect Black has some form of at least trying to get some money back I would have thought.

Debentures/charges are filed with Companies House, so if it's released we will know about it.

As for the old holding company, depends on what happens to it. If it gets liquidated then we may never know what happened to the debt. For instance, the old Wills/Diamandis holding company is STILL in liquidation 5 years on.

Also, would have thought the Exeter fella would have commented if any money was still owed for TAH - which makes it more unlikely we owe Shrewsbury anything for Collins - contrary to what Methusela said in his programme notes.

I cant see us treating one club differently from another.

BTS Tisdale is very short fav with 5 bookies

Alot of transfers do not see all fees paid upfront. I'm guessing the Collins one was done in installments.

No, it was all up front because the tribunal ordered it. TAH would likely have been the same.

Ah, didn't see that. I stand corrected (assuming the Shrewsbury Star article is factual).

A report by Shropshire Star based on Turner's account

http://www.shropshirestar.com/sport/shrewsbury-town-fc/2013/02/25/shrewsbury-town-still-pursuing-swindon-for-james-collins-cash/

Nothing's changed then. Still two points though...why did it not crop up in the FL approval process if we owe it and the money (if we owe it) was due during a period of takeover negotiations. Do Shrewsbury think they're so important that we should have dropped everything to sort them out before we had finalised a takeover of our own club...?

Was it common knowledge that we paid that much for Collins.

Nice to see that the honourable Mr Turner tried to get him back on the cheap when it looked like we were in trouble, like him even more after that.
