I am on a ship with two Scoucers who live in Birkenhead but both support Liverpool. On that basis Tranmere have already lost 0-2.

Does anyone know how long ago was it that we were top of the 1st division? did we hit top spot in the Wilson play off season ? Sorry, I have had a quick look but can't find it.

I had it in my head that we hit top spot after a few games in but not sure at all.
Pretty certain we never went top once that season.

And were always playing catch up after getting beaten 5-0 in the first g ame of the season.
