1. How do you make them them? I know its flour, egg, milk but I'm looking for the perfect recipe and best tossing technique!  Girl Giggle

2. What are your favourite accompaniments? I know its boring but have always favoured the simple lemon and sugar combo. Not a big fan of the European influenced banana/ nutella shite!

Golden syrup.

I once tried Marmite. I'm a Marmit lover, but trying it on a pancake was a pretty horrific mistake.

Savoury, or maple syrup. Can't stand lemon juice and sugar pancakes

I experimented a bit this year, got some apple sauce and drizzled some of the kids toffee sauce (usually used for ice cream topping) on top. Was surprisingly good Eat

Flour, milk, eggs. Literally chuck them all into a bowl/food processor and whisk them until they form a batter, like making yorkshires or what you see being put on fish  in the chippy- should be a bit gloopy, and nice and smooth.

Cooking/tossing technique- heat a little bit of oil (butter'll burn) in a small, non stick pan. When its just about to start smoking, pour in your batter, swirl it round so It's nice and thin. I normally refresh the oil once every 6/7 pancakes, but it should be fine if youre using non-stick. Flipping them, you want to push the pan away from you slightly whilst flicking your wrist.

Maple syrup and squirty cream is the best. Apple sauce goes really well with that too.

(I made roughly 700 last year for an event, so am not having any this year as I'm sick of the sight still)

Going for some savoury salmon and cream cheese as a bit of an experiment, reckon it'll be nice. Then I've got blueberries and honey as well as lemon and sugar for some sweet ones to follow!

Being on a diet is a right cunt today.

In fact, all days.

That is all.

Made pancakes for the family today.  None for me.  4 stone gone in a year, another half stone to go.  Back to a shitty soup now.

I gave up my diet and cancelled my gym membership. Cool

I'm not overly arsed by pancakes though.

I use the Jamie Oliver recipe - an egg and the same quantity of flour and milk (a cup full works well).

Cooking them always turns to shit for me, can never seem to get the right temperature.
