Every time he washes his dirty linen in public like this, he weakens his own standing with both the players and the fans. Getting very boring now.

The buck stops at the manager, not the players.
'We need the transfer embargo lifted' - a good cup run would have put money in the kitty for the future.
You picked the team Mr Di Canio, you should shoulder the blame, now shut up and get on with the job.

Dear paolo,
You played troy Archibald-henville in central midfield, he was absolutely hopeless and if he is a central midfielder then I'm a cottage pie. This is your fault.
Yours,
Someone with eyes.
P.s - stop being a twat and get on with what you are paid to do.

On first read my immediate thought was to put him to the top of my 'WAC' list but having had time to reflect he kind of has a point... Yes he did put out an unorthidox team but I guess he was expecting them to perform and resting some players for Tuesday. Had they played to their ability then we would have walked this but they didn't so I guess he has a point. I just wish he would start to shorten his post match interviews when we play shit and save his rants for the players when they turn up at 7:30 on Sunday morning...
If he had played Louis Thompson and Miles Story from the outset instead of TAH and Rooney he may have at least got the fans on board with his 'weakened' team selection but it now just looks like he is trying to find any way he can to get his point across regarding the need to lift the embargo.

Agree with the sentiments expressed so far. I am not in any "Paolo out" camp, if there even is one, and think that we are best off sticking with him as he has delivered a pretyy successful season so far.
If I was his manager (i.e. Watkins, Patey or Black) I would be setting him guidelines on what I expect in his dealings with the media, and preparing my ground being able to dismiss him for misconduct if it reached a stage where that was best for the club.
There is a very good post on Thisis:
"If the manager wont accept responsibility for the players he signs...trains and selects for the team on the day...he is not exactly setting a good example to enable his players to take responsibility when playing on the day...is he PDC? Publicaly Slating individual players as in the the above artical does not help either PDC. The responsibility stops with you PDC..LIKE IT OR NOT!"

Paolo out. How dare he excuse the players of not putting in 100% effort.

He's getting off quite lightly if the focus is just on him slagging off the players. Have the board apologised to the team and the fans yet?
Never his fault is it?

That can't have been the problem because the bloke who did that is a "Top, top manager" apparently. Nope, must be the team and the board. And the FA. And the League. And the fans. And we haven't heard so much about Curly lately have we? I reckon he's got a hand in it somewhere
