They do conceed a lot of goals away and looking at the way we have been scoring recently I reckon we'll get a few. Away from home they have conceeded the second highest in the conference and seeing as they are 7th it's the home form that has been their backbone so far.

Looking forward to this as I think a few fringe players will get a game and rest some for Tuesday.

38, I believe.
They do not have any supporters club coaches travelling to the game either, so expect around 50 away fans again.

EDIT.

Apparently they now have a 20 seater coach hired and its "almost fully booked" Cheesy

From the station at Colchester
To the cells of Warrington
From the services at Leicester
To the slums of Northampton

We travel over England
And one day Europe too

Cos we all follow the Swindon
We're the famous Town End crew.

The magic of the cup is obviously yet to reach Macclesfield then.

I guess TBF to them they only have an average home crowd of around 1,500 and the last home game they only had 1,189.

And for their local derby against rivals Stockport (a distance of 11 miles) they took a handfull over 700 which was their highest ever away following apparently.
Apparently Stockport arent their main rivals it is Altrincham according to a guy on my course?

Either way, they wont bring more than 50 so don't expect any real atmosphere

Has a hat actually ever been used to draw the numbers from?

Macc fan here, was reading the posts on this thread and thought I d give some input. First of all, I was one of the 38 who travelled last year, and that was a freak away attendance for us so dont expect it to be that low this time round, probably nearer 100. We do get low attendances, but we re not quite the pub team some of you make us out, we got an average attendance of 2,200 last year, despite finishing bottom that was higher than 4 or 5 of the other teams and we re averaging 1700 ish so far this season (the 1,125 attendance mentioned was with marine in the 4th qualifying round) with only one team bringing more than 120 away fans so far! We took nearly 800 to stockport on a tuesday night which aint bad for the conference, and we ve had followings of over 1200 in the league, rochdale springing to mind. Anyway, as for the game itself, you should comfortably progress to the next round because although we offer a lot in attack, we are vulnerable in defence and your strikers will exploit that, so although we may score 1 or 2, you ll probably score 3 or 4. How many fans are you expecting to get on saturday by the way? Hopefully as many as possible Smiley

My guess would be around 6000......none of us think you are a pub team.
If we take you lightly we will get beat.......simple.
Hope you have a good day regardless of result.

Fair play for fighting your corner mate. No problem with Macc from me. A decent away day when i went there on a Saturday. (Totally dire on a Friday night last year mind but we won't talk about that). A few clubs didn't make the magic 100 away fans last year so nothing to be ashamed about. Bound to be a bit of ridicule for 38 I'm sure you'll agree. Not much more you can do if you we're one of them though.

I'll take 4-2 Saturday and some decent entertainment for my tenner.

What do you make of McNamee then?

No, I completely understand the ridicule, 38, is frankly quite embarrassing for a league fixture, I just wanted to say it wasnt always that embarrassing!
Pretty much all our games have been entertaining this season because of our managers 'gung ho' approach.
I expect McNamee wont start like he hasnt in most games, hes a bit hit and miss, john paul kissock is a handful and barnes homer probably will score, but our defence is leaky at times.

I went to Maccy last year, what a nightmare, getting there and the game.

Can't make Saturday on this occasion, however, I wish the away support a pleasant journey there and back and no more than that, sorry.

4-0 town.

Pretty sure Morcambe and Accrington also failed to reach 100?

I've heard of Homer-Barnes so he must be doing something right? Mcnamee has fallen like a sack of shit hasnt he! Wasnt that long ago he was playing in the Championship
