We are going away for the weekend to La Manga playing golf.

Play Golf in the day, drink beer & watch the Ryder Cup in the evening.   Smiley

Even better this year, as I don't even miss a home game  (was Swindon 4-0 Barnet at this time last year)

Enjoy it Posh.

A draw is worth a small wager.......it will be close.

For top points scorer for Europe look no further than Paul Lawrie at decent odds......probably the most in form player in Europe at present and has risen 200 places up the rankings in the last year or so to now sit in the worlds top 30.

Don't think he'll play as much as the young pups Leefer and not sure 72 holes in 2 days really suits the older guard. He's rock solid though.

I hope we stuff the fuckers, I fear they'll spank us on the final day in the singles.

US cannot play as a team, which is why Europe will stuff them in the 4-balls,

The American reliance on the self explains why, for example, Tiger Woods is brilliant in the singles and absolutely hopeless when paired up.

I just can't see how the US can win enough of the singles to make up for getting trounced in the rest of the tournament.

I think we'll need a decent lead going into the sunday to win. They will be strong in the singles just like last time but have home advantage this time around.

I saw in The Sun today that Paddy Power are offering 4/1 for Europe to win if you open up an account with them. £100 max

6/4 for all existing customers.

I've had a bit of that.

Agreed. That's why I like the 16/1 in Skybet's market of who's leading after each day for 'Europe:Europe:USA' as we normally do well at the team formats whereas they're likely to dominate the singles.

Skybet only let me have £15 on though as I'd have liked a little more.

Good move by Olly to send the two northern Irish lads out first. Hit them hard, hit them early!

I have backed Europe to be leading at the end of day 1 at 13/8.

Also backed schnedeker and Garcia as top points scorers.

How'd you work that out?

The only yank who's played good matchplay golf this season is Hunter and they haven't picked him

Where is that, under specials? Can't see that market on there.

Think Europe will be a couple up by the end of Day 1...Can't see Rory/Macca losing in the first match...as FCB says, great decision to send them out first! EUUUUUUUUUUROPE!!!!

Well if they don't then I think they're going to struggle and they've won the singles matches in the last two events.

Tiger's singles record isn't too shabby either although admittedly I'd have liked to watch Hunter duff another crucial chip to hand us the cup again.

I've tried to find it this morning but can't see it anywhere so think they must have taken it down.

Sounds like a fair few european fans are there. Hopefully they will make themselves heard over the thick yank tossers
