2-2 was probably fair after the 1st session, Team USA are really picking up there game and even Woods is starting early doors as well...long way to go though!!!

Westwood, Kaymer and Hanson complete passengers today, Sergio not much better. 4 shockers- not good enough. Will be very surprised if we see Lawrie, Kaymer and maybe Hanson tomorrow.

Colsaerts... Astonishing

Colsaerts... Astonishing

Hope he holds on.  Backed him as top point scorer e/w.  40/1.

Should have booked himself 2 rounds tomorrow!

Not really going Europe's way is it.

Just dipped in and out, but the American's seem to be playing a bit bloody well. Except Tiger Woods.

I wonder how many pages long this thread would have been if the Europeans had turned up?

Really disappointing anti climax of an event at the moment. Really hoping today's the day it all clicks into place for the europeans, but can't see it happening.

Ian Poulter was amazing last night, Europe needs a good rocket up their arse this afternoon and some quick points to ruffle up those Yanks!

Hopeful but not expectant. Some cracking match ups later

I know it is possible, but do you think it's likely?

I can't see it myself.

I'm with Arriba on this, I can see some Europe fight early on perhaps take a couple of points and get back to 10-8 before being hammered in the late singles! Must be good odds on Europe if you fancied us coming back from defeat?

Sky bet offering 8/1 for a Europe comeback. USA are 1/9. 16/1 for the tie

I think Ollies done the right thing sending big guns out early but so have the yanks, you look at the first 4 out for the USA and they've all played unbelievable golf.

Think we need 3.5-0.5 in the first 4 matches minimum and hope the lesser lights fire

I think the Yanks came from 10-6 down in 1999 at Brookline.  Olly's done right in sending the big guns out early.  Had no option really.

The Lawrie ,Colsarts loss was the killer..........Johnson;s big put on the 17th was the killer blow i reckon.......if we had grabbed that point or even a half, then a chance was there.......four back is to much i reckon.

Looking forward to it later.
