This Caddis and Di Canio problem is a fucking mess and it needs sorting NOW!!! Even if it takes Wray to get them into a room together and sort it as I can't see Wray being happy with Di Canio if he is forced to sell Caddis before the transfer window shuts and we will have to find a replacement pronto.

Di Canio may be the boss and he has his way which have worked so far but he seriously needs to go on some man management courses because this is in danger of causing some serious problems at this club.

It should have been sorted one way or another last week, it continues to drag on and on........
Based on the Caddis interview I can't help but believe the problem is sorted. The issue this week was fitness. Paul is hardly going to be fit overnight. Give it time and you will see Paul come on as a sub, hopefully for the MK Done match

I read it exactly opposite Only Me, that Caddis felt unjustly treated and need to respond publicly because he hasn't sorted it. PDC does not take public criticism well.

I know JW reads these message boards from time to time. I hope he isn't thinking "why do I bother" due to criticism of this situation. We will all be behind PDC and the team on Tuesday rest assured. Actually this is one of his prize assets we are talking about, so he probably wishes it never happened like the rest of us.

Caddis specifically said in his interview that it's currently a fitness issue. He said so himself. He also said that he is still a town player and, in his own words, it has all been blown out of proportion.

He's just unfit right now. I know Sam Morshead may be reluctant to make that clear but it was that clear in the interview with Caddis. The captaincy is one issue, him not being in the squad is something else entirely.

And Sam Morshead should write for the Sun. He'd fit in well there.

Fine flash, then why did caddis feel the need to even mention he was hurt by having his professionalism questioned, and that family comes first.

pdc just needs to say he's dropped on fitness AND the other issues have been resolved. One sentance. Then everyone can move on and stop second guessing.

End of the day who would people pick if they had to? PDC or caddis. One may have to leave. I know who I'd prefer to go.

The reaction on here all because Of a refusal to give an interview is laughable.

You'd have to back the manager. Would be a stupid situation though. Lets hope it stays hypothetical.

Like I said. The captaincy and him not playing are two different issues.

I did say at the time that perhaps Caddis is just injured and it was suggested I was being over optimistic, looks as though I was not far wrong. It HAS been said that Caddis is not playing because of fitness. Caddis himself has told us that and even if PDC did come out and say it directly then people would still likely not pay attention.

Again, Morshead is being very sensationalist and I know I am not the only one to feel that way. He did it with McCormick and is now doing it with Caddis. Morshead could clearly let everybody know it's currently fitness issue, as has been clearly stated, behind Caddis not playing but that won't help to sell papers.

Look through all the sensationalism and you've just got a player that is disappointed about losing the captaincy, but will be playing again once fit. This is all very clear in the interviews, it's just the press has managed to hype up the situation in a way which makes people look at it from another angle.

I also wonder if PDC didn't speak to the press yesterday for that very reason, although of course that's just a hunch.

The refusal to give an interview is just a side issue which I don't think anyone really gives a fuck about. The issue, for me at least, are Di Canio's man management skills, or apparent lack of them. You just can't keep falling out with players and if you have a problem with a particular individual, you deal with it privately. That's basic management technique, which applies to any walk of life. As I've said before, even Di Canio's most ardent supporters are going to be hard pushed to say that how he has handled the Caddis situation is good management.

I mean, who is he going to fall out with next? McCormack? Benson? Foderingham?

This is why I so often despise the press. The influence they have is frightening.

None of us can be surprised by DiCanio`s behaviour over the Caddis situation. What was encouraging yesterday was that he managed to bollock the players for underperforming and then keep it in house and NOT go off on one on the radio, maybe he is growing up at last?. From the interviews I have heard with the players no one was arguing that it was anything but below expectations...
A win on Tuesday and suddenly the season has got off to a good start, with or without Caddis.

FWIW I agree with Flashheart and Bathtime on this one.

There won't be a choose between Caddis and PdC thats a pathetic argument and not even remotely realistic.

There was a problem between Caddis and PdC which has been sorted apparently, now there is a problem with Caddis's fitness a totally seperate problem but somehow mysteriously lumped together by some people (on the TEF and in the Press) to become some kind of monster that is about to ruin the club.

I like Caddis, hes a good player and do not wish to see him leave so its up to him to knuckle down and get fit and regain his place in the team now.

Let's hope PDC is starting to learn to keep things in house. As much as I like the man and hope we keep him until we reach the Championship he does my head in.
