We will struggle to replace Cadds big time. Best right back we've had since Kerslake. At the same time Paolo is the best manager we've had since Hoddle.

Fuck me - just sit down, smack your heads together and sort it out!

You could argue that Alan Mac has been more of a success than Greer ever was.

You could, if McCormack was Greer's replacement.

I think that's a question Mr Di Canio needs to answer.

Absolutely

Just got back!

I've read through some of this thread, but not all of it, but I don't share the pessimism, yes it was a frustrating afternoon,  yes there was an expectation, but today it wasn't to be.

We definitely need stronger cover a RB (not going into the Caddis thing), Roberts will give us more on the left when he's fit & I'd like to see Ferry back in the starting line up, we didn't look good in the middle today.  Fods instils more confidence that any keeper we've had in recent years.

I think we all expected continuation of the Brighton game, unfortunately it didn't happen, it was really hot today and we were OK, we got a point away from home and should have won it, Miller will have nightmares about that one.

The Pools manager (Cooper) said on the radio what a great result it was for them and was complementary about Town in general.

I remain pretty upbeat, not a great game, but a fair result.

I went too Sleaford and that's pretty much how I feel Sleaford. Had a few shants so didn't manage to get my point across quite so eloquently.

Think that emphasises just how poor the commentary was.

I am going to keep going on and on about the commentary because it really was that poor. Woeful effort.

HMS Trincomalee and Paolo's tan, for actual cunting sake.

I can see where every one is coming from , but did PDC let us down last season, no, The bloke , like all Italians are bit "loco" when it comes to sport, so he didnt give an interview after the game , who gives a flying ****. In a way its a good thing , when PDC is in a foul mood he rants and dosent think about what he says  so leaving himself open for more disent , prehaps , once hes calmed down he will be more rational over what he says.
From what ive seen we will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, so lets drop a few points at the begining of the season and let the bookies push the odds out , and we all can make a good profit on promotion at the end of the season, simples (sic)

Was interesting to read they thought that if they had put more crosses in they would of scored because Wes was really poor At taking the ball at of the air. I Didn't catch much of the game on radio, did Wes really struggle with crosses today ?

My point is that he's given interviews after far worse and refusing to do one day is a bit poor. I get the fact he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic and a little off the wall bu that's no excuse for being a bit of an arse.

No, there was a couple of incidents where he was bundled in the box, but for me Wes is the most consistent performer we have.

Have to agree with the Monkey Hangers about the Ref though, I'm not going to go into a "shit ref rant", but he was woeful, he didn't know what to do, honestly, he was giving us decisions when they should have had them & visa versa.  He didn't give the penalty, even though he was yards away, the linesman did!

Always appears to me that he's constantly looking 5-10 seconds ahead so he deals with any danger before it happens.

But prehaps he is learning, my point is that by saying nothing and thinking about what he is going to say, he will say things in a more moderate way. I will agree he may be a few sandwiches short of a picnic and more than a little off the wall, but wound'nt it be sad if he lost his eccentric ways and and started to be a quiet and dignified manager.

Quite by coincidence, I was watching the Greatest Prem Moments programme on BBC3 this evening.  And at about number 10, they had the West Ham vs Bradford game in 2000 (which finished 5-4 to the Hammers).  Di Canio was getting kicked about and had several decent penalty appeals rejected, and then stopped playing...asking the bench to sub him.  Cue the West Ham fans.  Start singing his name, which galvanises him.  Up he gets, takes charge of the game and scores.  John Barnes [back to the programme here; he wasn't playing] finishes up with 'Good old Paolo.  He just needs a little love.'

So Paolo, here's some from me.  You're not in the best of moods right now, but you'll get through it.  We could have won today - but let's be honest, it would have been lucky.  A point away from home, first game back in Div 3 is not to be scoffed at.  And there will be better days ahead than this.  Pour yourself a nice glass of wine, make up with Paul Caddis - and everyone's happy.  You're doing just fine.

Yep, agreed. I like and dislike aspects of his personality in equal measures I guess.
