Reading about all this set up stuff, does make me smile......I've been getting on and pedalling basic bikes for years, often doing decent miles, and never had anything like a strain, in the knee, ankle, thigh, back etc.
Numb bum, stiff wrists, and a desire for some EPO to get over the lactic acid...yes. Maybe I've just been lucky.
Do you go clipless though Reg? These issues only really show themselves as a result of being attached to the pedals. |

In recent years yes....although for a long time I had the old fashioned leather and buckle type clips, which never had a problem with. I've been thinking about lashing up something home made, to the pedals on my current hybrid Dawes, which will give a bit more efficiency, but allow very quick release.....might experiment with some fat arse elastic bands or bungees. |
