What would you have done with those players then RF?
I may not have played them if I didn't rate them (but I'd have felt a bit stupid if I'd thought them worth spending large amounts of the club's money on only weeks earlier). What I wouldn't have done is get into a fight in the tunnel / call them a lazy black cunt / 50-year-old girl in the press. And to get back to where this started, I wouldn't have called a player who's worked hard and never said a word out of place for 130 games stupid for expressing disappointment that the manager wouldn't contact him to tell him he was finished.

But then, as you've gathered, I'm not your idol.

And you're not a (successful) manager of a football team either.

Did PDC want a fight in the tunnel?
Did PDC even call anybody a lazy black cunt?
Do you know the circumstances behind why PDC didn't make the call?

Ha and you say it's propaganda on his supporters part? God you are some cunt, lazy black cunt? know something we don't then? like i said entitled to an opinion but if you expect to carry on spouting shit after a very good season and not face responses back that support the manager then you are deluded.

Anyways

Your 'black lazy cunt' comment all but confirms what most of us have probably been suspecting all along.

As it stands, Paolo is god. Like it or lump it.

You have chosen 3 players as examples, one of which is a problematic player that even Ferguson couldn't handle (a tad self-defeating) and two others that appear to be model pros. I don't think you've made the best choices there

Possibly, which is why I broadened it to include any number of top players. I just think Paolo's got a whole lot more maturing to do before he can aspire to be a really decent manager. Like I say, we'll find out a lot more when things get tough.

Confirms what, out of interest?

Don't pretend there's no political reasoning behind this

So what are you condemning PdC for RF, having a ruthless streak? Making mistakes in his first season?
Not being the perfect football manager?
Sure, he's made mistakes. But along the way he's also won a Championship and got our team playing some lovely football, so a lot of fans (Myself included) are more than happy.
You don't like him, we get that. You don't have to like him to appreciate what he's achieved in such a short space of time. You don't have to like him to be thankful that we've got a manager, finally, whose passion matches the fans and whose determination and drive has given us one of the best seasons in recent history.
You don't like him, WE GET IT.

Not sure what that means, but to borrow your word, it's more about professionalism than politics. I think his management of conflicts and his public pronouncements about dissenters are deeply unprofessional.

FWIW I think Ref Frog raises an interesting point...it will be interesting to see how PdC reacts to a higher level of football, and the problems it will bring. He's already alluded to the fact that it will be much more difficult than last season, which might indicate he'll be less likely to throw the toys out of the pram.  We as fans can help by being realistic, and realising this will be  completely different to last season. To have any chance then the recruitment policy needs to be spot on...

Agree totally Reg.The flip side to this is we must also give credit when it is due.He wins the league and is told so he should, gets us to wembley and is told it's only the jpt, beats prem opposition and is told it was only the reserves.Today he says he acknowledges he needs to calm it a bit and the same people still have a pop.The man has made alot of mistakes and rightly gets the shit for that yet what matters is the results which on the whole he has got right.

I just hope the boo boys shut the fuck up this year when we lose a few on the trot.  Some muppets have come to expect us winning every week so will get on their high horses when we go on a bad run.

Di canio has treated some people badly and his comments about Phil Smith were out of order imo,as was him not bothering to call the bloke. The man is not perfect but we won the league and results are all that most fans care about.

I do believe that when things do go wrong, whether that be here or elsewhere then it will be a train crash for him i'm sure. I'm happy to roll along on his bandwagon for the forseeable future though, flaws and all.
