An opportunity to do what though.

Pick younger players so they get some game time at a major tournament.

What really irritates me about the England supporter is that for months and months most fans (and perhaps rightly so) have been going on about England not being good enough to compete at the Euros, seemingly accepting this for the first time in ages... Brilliant.

...and then the squad is announced and it's fucking anarchy  Suicide

Your right about fans accepting that we won't do anything this tournament so this would be a perfect opportunity to blood some youngsters rather than trot out the same old serial under-performers.

The squad is not what i'd had hoped. Go away with Terry, Lampard and Gerrard. They have been tried and they have failed. Should have taken Adam Johnson over Downing and Richards over Johnson.

Williamson at Newcastle has had a decent season, rather him than Terry.  Arteta, qualifies for England, why not pick him, Spain won it 4 years ago with Marcos Senna a Brazilian...Cleverley looks to have potential.

Totally agree with you, how Downing has been picked over A Johnson is a joke, and for me Richards is one the best right backs in the world let alone England.

Also i would of picked Sturridge over Defoe myself, but i do like Defoe.

I had hoped for a young squad with only a few experienced regulars like Rooney, terry & gerrard. Maybe giving players like Barkley a go as a wildcard.   Smiley

Would of liked to of seen Lennon aswell but i think that's where England is most strongest on the wing.

Was Leon Britton worth a call-up? Played in a decent Swansea team all season and according to the statistics, he has the highest pass completion rate in world football (93.3% accuracy); better than Spain's Xavi (93.0%).

Would have been good to have seen maybe a few Swansea or Norwich players in there.
