Idem
JML
East

possibly wages:
Payne
Conroy

retire: Baudry

others will be offered contact imo. However whether they can get more elsewhere if the issue

retained list is only the start of the story

Yeah pretty much this although I expect us to offer Payne a deal but wages wont be high enough and I am sure Conroy will be leaving and not offered a contract, East he may give a 1 year to if his head is in the right place now.

Has to be very soon, all the other clubs in L2 have released theirs, its just us, Port Vile and Mansfield left I think.

Wollacott for one.

#1 all season then dropped at the end. Over the age of 24.
I’d say he told us weeks ago he had no interest in being here next season.

But he was only injured...

There's a decent player potentially in Ryan East I reckon

The issue with Woolacott, is that with the World Cup there will be a fair number of games he’s not going to be available for.
With a limited budget, this may be a factor. As we’d need extra goalkeeping cover (whilst I have a lot of time for Mildy, we can’t seriously expect him to provide cover on a regular basis.
The same (World Cup duty) could apply to Williams if Wales win through their play offs.

I think East is a tidy player - but lacks physicality - we need a bit more of that in midfield next season - for dealing with the long ball teams and dodgy pitches in the middle of winter.

We also need a home grown player on the bench (or have a reduced number on the bench) - which may save JML as we only have Parsons, Cowmeadow and Minturn to fill that slot currently.

Logically Payne and Conroy will go - high wages.
I’d like Hunt to stay but expect he will have better offers - similarly Egbo, Reed and possibly Odimayo.
For some it may come down to playing regularly as opposed to bench warming and the fact they rate Garner as a coach. Depends how much they are offered to go elsewhere too no doubt.

I personally think he will end up like Vigaroux, got carried away with international call ups and end up going backwards in his career

Vigouroux is the perfect keeper for this side. I'd love him back. Won't happen of course.

I think this too.

Similar to Kasim....goes off to World Cup qualifiers and the World Cup...plays with bigger name and better players and has his head turned and wants some of what they have got, and TBH who can blame him, you only get one chance at a career so go grab it with both hands, as it were.

Also despite the overseas interest from Wrexham (!) I feel he will go abroad to a top flight club in Belgium, Holland or such like where hes playing at a better level.

I remember being at an away game somewhere 3 years ago or so where someone behind me shouted out "It's a mans game Scotty" to a young Twine as he trotted back after getting shoved off the ball....

For me Williams has made a huge impact.

My Charlton supporting mate said he will win loads of fouls with his gamesmanship, and he has, its part of the game now and he wins them well.

I would love to get him tied down to a longer contract, although Wrexham have expressed an interest, but then they have in Payne, McKirdy, Jojo and Reed as well if you read their forum.

They also seem to think they are going to sign Wayne Hennesey and the Brentford England U21 keeper Balcombe! deluded.

All the older existing contracts will not be renewed, all about cheap loans where the club won’t need to pay wages for appearances.

Players of this calibre will not get us out of this league unfortunately.
We need to be aiming far higher.

I’m talking contracts from the LP era that are higher than the “new” era.

For me all about the quality we bring in to replace the experience outgoing.
Not convinced a team of kids is the solution but all about what unfolds and hope it all comes together.

My concern is whether we are competing with “smaller” clubs in our division.
We should be, however all about quality and strength in depth that has been lacking.
