Jojo got off to a winning start in his international career with a 3-1 win today, he could do nothing about the penalty given away needlessly by a defender.

TBH he had a very quiet afternoon against a poor Zimbabwe side in a game with little quality which never came to life until the 3rd goal went in for Ghana.

Watched Grants game in the early hours

0-0 against Canada. He did ok, absolutely got clattered at one point, then later on went full on Grant and ran the length of the pitch to push someone over after Kemar Roofe had been fouled

This may have been discussed elsewhere, but if we've ever had more simultaneous international call-ups, I don't remember it. And not for completely tinpot nations either. Friends in France can't get their heads round a fourth division side having Welsh, Jamaican and Ghanaian internationals. Here the fourth division is literally a few old blokes leaning on a fence by the car-park.

Pretty much like the FGR home crowd then?

For the other part of your post, I am really not sure I remember more than 2 or 3 being called up at any time and then almost all were U18 or U21 call ups too.

Good work that man. So this weekend could well be our all-time record. Of course, the increase in young Prem loans ramps up the numbers in recent times, but still.

Another 90 minutes under the belt for Jojo in a 1-0 away win for Ghana.

Brilliant, his 6th clean sheet of the season so far in just 13 games.

It's probably much too early for this but........

He (and almost everyone else) is only on a 1 year contract isn't he? That needs to be rectified preferably sooner rather than later and a long term deal required there.

Absolutely we need to tie him down in January if not sooner to a much longer contract.

Everyone signed this summer because we are not allowed to offer longer terms without paying down the full loan from the EFL and our footballing debts I believe.

That is true, a sum (£600kish) which as far as I know is still outstanding currently IIRC.

Didn't Rob Angus/the board say that as the loan was interest free they were in no hurry to pay it and it wasn't due until about 3 years. (IIRC) whilst of course I agree other things probably take priority being able to get our more talented/saleable assets tied down onto longer contracts should probably be looked at, otherwise we'll only be able to offer one year deals until the loan has been paid off.

Of course that hasn't stopped us being able to bring in some very good players so far on those 1 year deals.

All restrictions related to the EFL loan end after one season anyway, regardless of whether or not the money has been paid back.
So come next summer, we will be able to offer longer term contacts and more than £1300 a week.

I expect in the summer the contract situation will be reviewed and probably certain players get improved deals, we don't know current contracts  though if after they have played x games another year may kick in, or it may be a 1 year rolling deal with some players.

I would be surprised if contracts are all 1 year full stop.

A few were signed with an eye to the future and being able to develop and then sell on for a nice fee
