I was surprised that he didn't at least get at least a pre-season to prove himself after that big injury.

I thought the same, even if a month by month contract. However we don't know that such a thing was offered but turned down.

Just reading about Dossevi didn't realise/remember he was a survivor of the Togo team bus attack at the Cup of Nations in 2010 about 6 months before he joined us...
