I just hope Power bins the BOGOF agent he used for the Frenchmen.....said at the time, there's little gain in this market for a club like ours, and saw nothing to make me change that, despite Froggy's best efforts to paint me as some sort of racist.

Apparently, Colchester only value Moncur at around £150,000. Alex Gilbey they value at £250,000.
Got to be even in our scope.

Oh I haven't heard that interview but could be interesting. I guess we will find out soon enough, I just see most teams in the bottom 2 divisions utilising a full compliment to save on wages etc possibly and to get up numbers in case of emergency.

Sheff Utd local paper recons the feel will be closer to £1m for Moncur as they are after him, the Col U forum price him between £1 and £1.5m!

Am I right in thinking the French lads were all Cooper signings as opposed to Power. Would make sense.

Pleased with the list, although Robert and Traore could have done a job if they were consistently fit enough.
One thing's for sure, we won't have a settled first 11 in place for the new season. Loaning clubs will wait for the best offer and help to fill gaps, and as we are a selling club, any one of our players, and especially those with only a year left on their contract are likely to be sold at any time an acceptable offer comes in. I'm not confident we will see Power splash the cash early.

Traore is the only one I would have liked to see stay as Bob said a couple of games this season he came on and changed the game in our favour. Would also have been a useful player if (as seems likely) Kasim goes.
However the gas incident & missing games regularly for personal reasons cant have helped his cause

More worried about the prospect of losing Ajose AND Obika to be honest. Power says Obika won't sign a new contract and is moving into his last year. It makes perfect business sense to cash in Of the list, Just repeating what has been said - I think Traore and Robert have had their moments. But they've not been key players for one reason or another. The rest...meh.

Would be a potential disaster if we lost both Obika & Ajose.
I think most expect Ajose to go, I wonder if we can get Nichols from Peterborough as a replacement. We were supposedly interested when he left Exeter & hasn't really had a look in at Posh

Apparently we are going to activate the King Herod clause in George Moncur's contract which means he must return to his place of birth. Sent from my HTC One M9

So why do you insist on picking out the French? De Gaulle? Culture envy? I know you're a bit old for new tricks, but could a hint of prejudice be clouding your judgment? . So you can safely extend your little Englander instincts beyond Frog-bashing to a more general xenophobia.
