I cannot believe we have a video analyst, what does he do...

'Mark I have reviewed the video and in summary our defence is shit and half the team are playing out of position' - what does he do for the other 6 and a half days of the week?
It's an unpaid intern position IIRC. Usually done by Sports Science students so I'd guess that's what he does the other 6 and a half days a week

Just out of interest, would anyone prefer we signed English players who knew more about the English game and what it means to play for Swindon
How many English players know "what it means to play for Swindon"? In fact, other than getting a shot at the Ballon D'Or, what does it mean to play for Swindon (from a player's perspective)?

Not me. Shearer, Calderwood, Fjortoft, Bodin, Nijholt, Risser ...

It means you burn unstoppably within, and get ready to shed your sweat...

I like us signing British players, when we do sign foreign players I'd like to see that they are manifestly better than the locals.

Chances of getting players who understand what it means to play for the Town are few....generally the case with most clubs.

I once had a conversation with Steve "Turbo" Robinson, just after it was announced he ws quitting the Town, as to what he'd do next....he told me he'd bought property in Spain on the proceeds of his football and was heading out there. I told him he'd be well regarded by many Town fans for scoring 2 at the Manor....to which he replied he was surprised as he didn't know the game was in anyway "special" ....small crowds, no long term history etc.

Little did I know at the time that he'd be the last Town man to score a goal in Oxford.

Somewhere, there's an Oxford fan with a collection of very accurate Voodoo dolls.

How are we sustaining so many injuries? Surely it can't be chance

God knows what that development squad looks like, all our reserves and a few youths are needed for the first team.
