Spend the Luongo money on a quality second keeper from Championship or a first keeper from League One maybe?

Doubt it, he should get contract offers worth way more than we can pay, even if we go up.

Bentley from Southend would be a dream replacement, although a lot bigger clubs than us will be sniffing around him.

I think there's a chance. The fact he has a close-knit group of friends he's playing with and he has been here long enough. He could be tempted to stay for an extra year. Give him an extra wedge of money on his salary from the Mass money to keep him around.

Think Wes may end up at Forest. No ITK whatsoever, would just make a lot of sense for all parties.

Would love him to stay though, that low down stop towards the end on Monday was world class.

I have seen that mentioned in a paper about forest in the last couple of weeks. Hey ho. I like the way we operate now, I'd rather a promising unknown in any position than a journeyman, lessens the expectation, and eases the stress, when things do go pear shaped.

It's likey to be another young keeper who will spend pre-season fighting it out with Ty Belford for the 1st choice spot, I personally think Ty will be a decent replacement, the only reason I think people don't like the idea is that he has been No 2 all season and not been able to dislodge Wes - but I'm not sure there's many keepers that would be able to.

He is highly rated by Power & Cooper thus they have extended his contract

If we go up, I'd hope we put some money to Southend for Bentley. If we don't, think we'll have Belford and a young'un as P2P says.

I suppose you might call this flattery.  The local paper in Reading lists 2 of our players in their list off 5 'lower league' targets for the summer.

Reading FC transfers: 5 Players from the Lower Leagues Royals should Look at this Summer

Gladwin: possibly (given his local connections).
Luongo: no chance.

It would be nice to think (or hope, in Luongo's case) that both might be lining up against Reading next season.

I like the PNE rumour of them getting Mass for £250,000 plus Kilkenny!

Didn't know Kilkenny was valued at £3.75m
