In any other situation, we probably would have. But Black's exit left Town on their knees.

I'm still bitter on Ritchie's departure. Not really at Bournemouth, just the whole sorry situation.

Indeed. We didn't even get anywhere near fair market value in the pursuit of a cash up front deal. Sell on, they probably only thought of that while running to the bank.

Agree you can't blame Bournemouth for taking advantage.

Surely that only applies if he was part of their squad like next season. Actually I wouldn't put it past Power Smiley

Don't see why. I'd expect the clause to be worded simply as 'get promoted, give us more cash'.

The other error being that on the t shirt underneath it says Bristol City established 1897 when we all know it was actually 1982.

Talking of sell ons and feel free to mock me, but do you think we had the nous to put some kind of clause in Matt ritchie's contract that we might be due some moolah should he play in the premiership?

If there was a clause it would probably state that in the event of their promotion to the Premiership, Bournemouth fans are allowed to come and sleep with all our wives/girlfriends.

That's how bad that deal was.

Sam m reports we've activated a one year option on Byrne's contract.

obviously doesn't mean anything one way or other about him staying, but at least he won't be free.

50% sell on to Spurs as well. First time I've seen that mentioned.

Wonder if we can give them 2015's Ben Tozer to have that the sell-on clause waived?

I think the writing is in the wall for the majority of Town's out-of-contract fringe players. Barthram has his fans but he simply doesn't play enough.

Williams and Foderingham is dependent on promotion, as we know.

Morshead has stated that players already know their fates.

Yep read somewhere this morning the deadline for retained list to be at FL is Saturday.
Players know but not being made public till after Wembley.
Let's hope all those that play are happy with the clubs choices

Anton Rodgers has probably done enough to get an extra year.
