Lets hope we had a sell on with the kid as did Bmuff with Lallana, Tho if history has taught us anything we dont think that far ahead
You would expect Power to be a bit more savvy than previous though...

The more I think of all the recent experienced old pros we've had, the more I think I prefer the present model.
Can't think of one who added much to the side

In recent years Darren Ward and Gordon Greer are two who fit the bill.

I thought about Greer but was he actually that old when with us.
He's still playing FFS.
Ward is/was nothing better than OK - I wouldn't say he was ever a 'presence' in the side.

Depends on your definition of old really.
Alan McCormack, Jonathan Douglas, Darren Ward, Gordon Greer, Jay McEveley, David Lucas, Craig Easton, Lee Peacock....

Jmac and TAH are big big losses imho.
Also missing someone experienced up front when Williams inevitably goes missing.
Oh and a midfield enforcer.
I don't prefer the current model to that. But it is what it is.

Troy Archibald-Henville played 23 out of a possible 109 games for Swindon.
I just don't get how we'll miss him so much, we got on fine when he wasn't in the side.

But we had Devera and Ward for a fair bit of that. Ward was admittedly shit last season, hence TAH became the experienced man. The point is we had at least an experienced man in there and my personal opinion is you need a couple.. Obviously two youngster could turn be a revelation, but to me we currently look porous (solely based on the Villa game).

That is not great news. Hopefully we'll get someone else in short term to cover, it'd be a shame to shoe-horn a right footer in there.
