It's the lack of goals what worries me about next season. Not one proven goalscorer on the books. Looking at that list, we have Michael Smith, Andy Williams, Connor Waldon and Miles Storey if he's still contracted ??

I thought it was extended at the beginning of the season. So if he leaves, then at least we get cash.

edit: Yeah, 1 more year to go:

Good news then. We should try and get cash now while he has a year to run.

To be honest, much as I rate Fods, I wouldn't begrudge him moving to a higher level now if he gets offers.

As much as I'd love him to stay, he deserves the chance to play in the Championship...and I'd wish him all the best.

Good servant and a model professional. I believe he doesn't even drink?

He deserves a move.

Belford is not a number 1 keeper in this league though, good back up.

Wes Foderingham came to Swindon without a single professional game. I'm willing to give Belford a chance if Foderingham leaves.

Agreed. For an 18 year old Belford's pretty fucking good. Mind you that didn't stop some of the moaners in the DRS complaining. 'God our new keeper's old isn't he?.'

 Roll Eyes

And let's not quite hit the panic button yet please people. The season only finished yesterday. If I was Power/Coops I'd be offering Wes a new contract using some of the money freed up from getting those other players off the books. Essential keep, if purely for a larger future transfer fee. I know we're trying to reduce our wage bill etc. but offering Wes a new contract in good time would be a sound business decision as well as brilliant for our Football Club.

That said, I won't begrudge him if he leaves for a Championship/Prem side. Long as they pay a decent wedge, it's what he deserves, brilliant professional and amazing servant to the club.

Including the Loan Market, our targets for the summer need to be : 20-a season striker, Good Central Defender (possibly two), and someone to fill in Pritch's role as set piece taker/winger/attacking midfielder. Other than that I'm honestly in good spirits about where we stand for next season.
