From the last couple of games Cox has played he should be more than a fringe player.

If Cooper doesn't think he will become a regular starter, I suppose he'll go

I hope we keep Cox. I really think him and Kasim could make a great pairing. A couple of tough tackling, ball winning CMs.

Seemingly I can't wait until the seasons end to raise these questions but this time next month it'll be all over for another campaign.

Looking at whos's contract is expiring, I'm quite reassured by who are contracted beyond the summer.

Out of Contract: Summer 2014

James McEveley
Troy Archibald-Henville
Nile Ranger (we have that option)

Alex Smith
Raphael Rossi Branco
Jack Barthram
Dany N'Guessan

Lee Cox
Andy Williams
Paul Benson
Alan Navarro

Connor Waldon
Leigh Bedwell
Mark Francis
Alex Ferguson
Aaron Oakley
Kayden Jackson

Harry Agombar

Out of those I expect,

Agombar
Oakley
Ferguson
Francis
Navarro
Benson (already signed a deal for Luton if you believe their fans)
Williams
N'guessan
Troy

To not be offered new deals. Troy is a tricky one, but that's going on Coopers apparent comments to members of the Town End recently. I hope we figure out a way to keep him in. I didn't add Barthram to that list purely because I'd like to see him stay, he's impressed me when he's come in and deserves a fair crack. Cox seems happy to be a part of things here as well, and he's done well recently so I think he'll come back into the mix.

The thing with Troy is, we can't afford (and shouldn't) offer him the same wages again.

However few L1 clubs will, and out of those than can, who will honestly fancy forking out huge sums given his rare appearances over the last two years.

It may be the best option for both him and us, for him to extend for another year on reduced terms. He'll be 26 then, perfect time to get a decent move if he's proved he can still perform for a whole
season.

I thought Lee Power said during the fans phone in that Williams had another year to go? I hope he was mistaken.

If Archibald-Henville really can't play two games in a week or isn't able to train everyday then he's not going to get loads of offers this summer. Well I assume he wouldn't anyway..

Jokes aside, I'm always weary of Bristol City and their budget.

Obviously, no issues if it turns out like Flint... and Heywood.

Williams signed a 2 year contract when PdC was in charge on the 28th June 2012.

The thing is, Shitty have a budget big enough (currently) to encompass a player like Troy who can only play a certain amount of games.

If be very surprised if Ferguson and Francis are here next season.

As much as I agree with your comment, if you think back to Nathan Thompson, it took him 2-3 years of being a pro before he came good. Now he is one of the first names on the team sheet. Look at his stats, he hardly featured the first 4 season he was a pro.

If they have any potential at all in Coopers/ Powers eyes I suspect they'll be kept, they won't be on much at all.

True, although from what I hear from a lad at work whos quite chummy with one of the first year pro's, they get given allowances for stupid things like £250 p/w for living at home rather than in a hotel etc.

If Troy can't play and train properly, could he retire and take the insurance money?

I have a vague recollection of Roberts doing this
