I actually quite like that team, if real life were more like FIFA we'd spank a lot of teams next season. Unfortunately I think we'll be quite stringently bullied by a lot of sides.

Agreed, thats why 2 or 3 experienced and bigger players will make the team look decent i think. Need 1 up top, and at least 1 more in midfield.

Imagine Hollands instead of Smith in that team, I would bloody love that.

Anyone think that we might be trying to offload our expensive duds + Caddis before getting the experienced players in?

I do. If we can get the higher paid members of the squad off the payroll then I guess we have some moolah to get in 2 or 3 more experienced players. If we can't then we may be stuck sadly.

Thought that was said all along - Signings were dependent upon squad movement.

Indeed. Someone like Benson might not be the player he was, but he's under contract for another year so make use of him. We simply can't afford to not be using a senior player in some way. If that means just using him off the bench for the final 20 minutes then so be it.

Expensive duds?

Top of the league before this new regime came in,hardly duds.

And Caddis did ok at Brum so not sure i agree with your wording....and Benson is certainly no dud.

Maybe you should have said getting rid of a big decent squad on high wages...that would have been more apt in my view.

I think that's the case.

However, if we can't move the high earners on we might as well play them. Depending on appearance bonuses....

Caddis I didn't include in my duds statement. Benson's legs were gone at the start of last season, he wasn't good enough for us in League One, and he hardly set Cheltenham alight.

Then you've got Cox (dud), Rooney (both dud), Navarro (dud), Collins (doesn't want to be here).

Wrong again leefer x

Cox, Rooney, McEveley, Navarro and Benson would all make our strongest squad, most have a good case to be included in our best 11.

And yet none were playing regularly when we were at the top of League One.

How can you even judge our best 11 when you haven't seen the majority of them play?
