Luongo showed a little but looked inferior to Ferry in every department bar physical presence.
From what I saw of Luongo he was superior to Ferry in terms of dribbling, skill on the ball, more energy, shooting, creativity.

I really don't get the love affair most our fans had/have with Ferry. A likeable bloke he may be, but an over rated footballer.

Luongo would be a good signing. Byrne however...

So one more down at least a further 4  to go.....Roberts is a bit of a bonus, as couldn't see anyone taking him on his wages. The concern now though is that the 4 or 5 who we've got left that we might want to keep, will be seeking a move if possible, as they'll not want to play in a side stripped of its main players.

Changy boy I bow to your knowledge as you probably saw more of luongo than me but against donny and 2nd game brentford he was risible. Ferry and mccormack would piss all over luongo and navarro for me though.

Byrne is a good player - just not at full back

Byrne would improve given a run in the side but only the right flank

Here is what I don`t get... we released loads of players during the last campaign so how can the wage bill need much further trimming. Surely rooney, benson and caddis will get us down to way under 2mn? Cant believe anyone we sign will be on a wedge so why do we need to trim further? Maybe jed is going to play a blinder and surprise us all or maybe he is a clueless clown. We will know in a week or two...chang already knows who is signing I reckon!
