Jonny Williams scores for Wales.
My mate is a man U fan and he showed me this post on their forum.

How is Jonny Williams only playing for Swindon Town, see plenty of far less talented players in the Championship every week.

So now Wales have qualified for Qatar, how long are we likely to be losing Jonny Williams for? For me, if Jack Payne doesn't sign a new contract for us, I am fully expecting Williams to slot into the role that Payne played and so losing him for a lengthy period leading up to Christmas isn't ideal. Gladwin never really showed very much after he came back from injury and seemed to almost be utilised as a defensive midfielder at times in his 'cameos'

Obviously we've still to do our summer shopping so the squad should hopefully be nicely stocked but something to consider.

I wouldn't worry too much as the relationship the club has seems to be that he will not start every game. When himself and Gladwin were rotating at the begining of the season i thought it worked lovely. Once Gladwin got injured Williamds looked fucked starting every week

He did, but then played over 100 minutes at Vale Park. I did hear on the LS Podcast that he has to be very carefully managed with training/matches etc, but I personally thought he did slowly appear to be getting towards looking like he could get through full 90 minute matches as the season drew to a close. I'm hoping with a proper pre-season under his belt we might see more from the little Welshman next season.

Oh and i'm not worried Shrivvy, i'm confident the club are managing him perfectly. Smiley

Probably closer 6 weeks when you take into account the training camp and warm up games etc.

Who actually made the final call (so to speak) on Williams game time?

Is the way he has been used likely to change now the manager will be different?

Its between him and the manager and the sports science staff, last season (can we say that yet ?) he played the most games he has played in a season, so they must be managing him well, I expect next season (assuming he is still confident he can play for Wales playing in L2) he will play more games for us and be even more of a handful for defences.
