What was infamous about the goal? Poor old Di Canio can't do anything right.

Why didnt Luc Nijholt's goal vs Man Utd make the list .....

Purely for the campist celebration ever seen, that should have made the list!

Bergkamp or Le Tissier for me.

Anyone can get lucky and smack one in from 20 yards, but the close control those two had is just amazing.

Another one for Bergkamp. Different class.

I could imagine one of our players trying to do what Di canio did, missing the target and getting roasted by the boss for not letting the ball across their body and taking it with their left foot.

Still not convinced that Bergkamp meant it so can't choose that one. I think he meant to go the other side of the defender personally.

Always liked Henry's flick up and volley against Utd and Le Tiss could have a competition on his own.

Matthew Le Tissier's reputation/legacy isn't as big as it probably should be. Lack of caps? Playing for Southampton throughout his entire career?

Easily one of the best footballers I ever saw.

That Bergkamp goal was incredible, although I think the one he scored against Leicester in about '97, where he flicked it over the defender, was even better.

Also, I see they have a link to the best celebrations at the bottom of the page, if Bullard's imitation of Phil Brown's team talk doesn't win that it will be a travesty.

I'm always a sucker for a wonder volley so Yeboah against Liverpool always stands out for me.  He argueably scored a better goal a few days later at Selhurst Park though

As far as wonder volleys go, Wayne Rooney gobbing off at the ref against Newcastle, then turning round and immediately smashing one into the top corner has to be my favourite.
