My thoughts on the atmosphere fwiw....
- Better than millwall, but still never really really got going...but, on neither occasion have we had much to sing about. If we had scored in the 80th minute, fook me there would have been some noise, make no mistake.
- Although it will never happen in a million years, I would personally like to see a game like this at Villa park...people go on about the wembley experience and all that, and I supposes it is bit of a novelty walking up wembley way, and being able to say your team has played at wembley, but for me thats where the novelty of the wembley experience ends...Villa Park for example, would provide a much better FOOTBALL day out
- On the acoustics, this is a funny one, once there are a load singing its loud as both chesterfield and millwall have shown. BUt for small groups, any songs starting often just get lost in the space if the surrounding poeple dont take them up immediately. There were a group of say 15 right at the back of block 135/136, who, fair play to them were trying to start songs all game...we wouild join in but it would just get lost. Too big a space. In the concourse (or the town end for that matter), half that number singiong would be enough to get songs going...
ho hum.

Yeah good point. 180 minutes of football at Wembley in the last couple of years and about 3 total shots on goal. A pity.

And I DID stay and applaud my team at the end - I thought at least they deserved that.
This - I was disgusted at the fire drill fans.

Yep me too, half the crowd had left even before the final whistle blew, pathetic.

I would have left, but the queue to get out meant I had to stay for the final whistle. It was like trying to get out the DRS. I thought we were limp today, I didn't shout abuse at our team, I didn't boo. I joined in the singing (when it happened) and enjoyed my day - even though the game itself was uninspiring. Why is it pathetic to leave when you want to leave?

Waited to the final whistle but went immediately afterwards. To me staying and applauding may have been the right thing to do, but staying and seeing the Chesterfield celebrations would be like pouring salt on the wounds. I make no apologies.

Fuck off cunt, I paid my money, turned up and supported the team. If I want to nip out 2 mins early when the game was dead and buried, I fucking well will. They hardly deserved a standing ovation did they? Knob.

Your view was spoilt by people standing up to leave?

This is totally how I felt - especially after the play off final game - we had 2 friends with us that had never been to see Swindon or 2 Wembley I really wanted them to feel the joy of celebrating a goal so they would feel what it felt like to enjoy a match

How vast was the singing 'section'? Too big for the type of atmosphere we wanted really.
