The noise wasn't bad at times, but the limp performance on the pitch tended to feed up into the stands. I was in block 551 and there was singing up there from time to time. The worst bit of the day was being sat in front of a few middle age tools who decided to moan and swear throughout the game, one with such a squeaky voice it would crack glass. The munchkin size one then decided to tap the back of our row with his feet at half time. You were in row 26 if you're reading this - don't bother going again (any game).

Should go in the trivial things that make you smile thread but :

Something that I loved about yesterday was the amount of town fans and where they came from.

I got off the train at Victoria (not the usual way into London for town fans), put on my red and white scarf and set off - only to be greeted by some merry town fans on the same train singing town songs.

My in-laws bumped in a fan at Fishbourne station, likewise on the train home to Portsmouth Harbour.

I got the train at 11:45 in Bicester and there was a couple of dozen Town fans on the platform. Nice to see in Oxfordshire Smiley

Can i just say that any fan who sat and took grief of other fans really didnt need to,the stewards were very good in the main and we moved seat three times for a better view, not saying you should have moved because you paid for your ticket but we sat at the top where there was thousands of empty seats....and no hassle from idiot fans or the such.

I was in 132 and the atmosphere was pretty good I thought and much much better than Millwall, only downside was there was the msot pessimistic twat I have ever seen at a football game in my row and called Matt Ritchie the worst player he has ever seen, get the feeling he hasnt seen us play too often

A bloke next to me labelled Ritchie a 'donkey' which drew an amusing reaction from those around him... sure, he was pretty poor yesterday, and didn't even capitalise when he found himself one on one with the fullback a fair few times, but a donkey he is not.

I thought we sounded great before the match and for the first few minutes but after that it seemed very quiet. Being a non-season ticket holder I was unable to get seats in the singing area but managed to get some in the next block (137), so I wasn't far from the singing area, but I was surrounded by daytrippers and people who were so pissed they couldn't stop laughing about the fact that they missed half the game through getting "lost" and calling the team useless tossers.
The people in front didn't move throughout the game and appeared to lose the use of their hands as they didn't clap once. I didn't go to the Milwall match as I was out of the country but I had hoped for better than that yesterday.

Having said that, the result didn't help but I didn't think the noise was that great before we conceded either.

And I DID stay and applaud my team at the end - I thought at least they deserved that.

I agree, something that we can ALL sing in unison, the singing yesterday was pretty good but totally dijointed with different sides singing different songs yet all areas were singing at the same time.

My take on things...well pretty much the same as most of the other posters really, I enjoyed the day out at Wembley (my first time at the new stadium) but did not enjoy the game or the result.

The sound compaired to 90 and 93 was really poor, but there were a lot of day trippers and give them their dues a lot of them sung, just not as a whole.

Chesterfield only sung when their goal went in and for about 5 mins second half later on in the game, their support was poor too but they HAD SOMETHING to sing about, whereas we didn't.

Lots of Town fans came up on my train from Zummerzet but it was more Chesterfield on the way home and what a bunch of ignorant fuckwits there were too, gloating wankers.

Don't really see what the fuss is about. It was miles better than 2 years ago. I was in block 540 with the clouds and there was only one row behind me. But I could hear the chanting from below. Wembley's still magic, and I love it.

I still think Wembley is an amazing place to go with your club, still special. Thought we made quite a bit of noise, too, but the goal took the wind out of our sails.

Nothing more to be said really. Always going to be 'singers' scattered diluting the overall impact. Had we scored we would have made loads of noise, just as Chesterfield did. I thought their bouncy thing was pretty good, a reverse Poznan.

People can sing/leave do whatever they want, doesn't affect me. I'm a bit bored of people moaning about other fans. We're all different.

As has been said above, I think we were miles better atmosphere wise than against Millwall, but still felt extremely flat. Some of that down to Wembley acoustics, some just down to not enough people getting involved. Not sure there's an easy way round that if we ever go there again.

Maybe the team winning would do the trick Wink
