I can remember thinking this time last year that the stalling of the development at that point was the right thing to do...simply because when you plan ahead whilst on a downward trajectory, the assumptions you use are bound to be affected accordingly.  We could have ended up with plans for a 14,000 seater, cementing expectations of lower league status for some time to come.

Once redeveloped, the new County Ground will need to last us for decades - so I would rather the assumptions that underpin the development are made while the club is on the up and feeling optimistic.  Now is the right time to get this going again.

PS  Some detail would be nice, though.

Watkins, though, has been pleasantly surprised there was little change in that aspect, and is hopeful the club can push on financially when back in League One.

“It was perhaps my own paucity of time that made things stall a little bit,” he added.

“You do reel a little bit after relegation and worry about how revenues will hold up, but the revenues and everything else regarding the club have held up remarkably well while we have been in League Two.

Sounds like we have definately overspent and we're probably going to go bust very soon, seems other club's fans were right!

It doesn't say much, I think it's a way of telling the council to open their post, the lazy bastards.

Serves us right for paying Magera £50,000 a week.
