Off to watch the Falcons today, Christmas present for my son.  Nothing in it for them but Saints need to lose to ensure the 49ers get into the Play Offs (although the 49ers have their guaranteed win team today in the Rams), so I will join him in supporting them today.  Actually, the 49ers and Rams bot achieve their goal today if they tie - maybe the can agree to take a knee from the start.
Enjoy the game Mr T? Pretty impressive stadium they've got there in Atlanta, shame they don't have a team to match it...

It is indeed an impressive stadium.  Falcons managed 7 wins in the season, which is a miracle having watched them most weekends as the nipper follows them.  I must admit the last quarter was spent watching my phone update the 49 ers game and left me chuckling after some Saints fans had clocked me doing so and passed on their commiserations when the Rams scored with 2 mins left.

Popping back in a couple of months to watch Atlanta Utd a couple of times.  I did get my son to the Stevenage game on our return.  He's watched two Swindon games live and not seen us score yet!

All US stadia are impressive! Even the older ones!!

Wonder whether the Broncos will take the Cowboys Defensive or Offensive coordinator as Head Coach? Brian Callahan from the Bungle might also cause a scene on here!

Talk about Doug Pedersen (cos he won SB without his main QB) or Jim Harbaugh (Michigan, cos he's a big name). Dan Quinn (Cowboys D and former Falcons HC was the early favourite)

I managed to catch one of those Falcons wins in London!

Bears and Vikings tearing it down. Makes sense. Surprised by Dolphins sacking Flores though after he's given them back to back winning years (albeit with no playoffs). Fangio will make a great DC somewhere (or maybe Chicago fancy him back as their head coach).

The games last night were brilliant. Right down to the wire. Leaves some excitement for the playoffs ahead!

Everyone's predictions for the wildcard round?

Steelers @ Chiefs
Patriots @ Bills
Raiders @ Bengals

Eagles @ Buccaneers
49ers @ Cowboys
Cardinals @ Rams

Bengals...it's Bengals Wink  ...and just remember who is in the play offs and whose season is over Grin

I hadn't really considered Callahan as an HC candidate due to lack of experience but I suppose he and the equally inexperienced Lou Anaroumo (DC) are both possible candidates. Plenty of inexperienced coaches have done pretty well in recent seasons....e.g. Sean McVeigh, Matt Lafleur, Kliff Kingsbury and the Bengals very own Zac Taylor...

I've seen the Falcons a couple of times....v Detroit at Wembley a few years ago and at Tottenham this season v The Jets.

That Chargers v Raiders game was insane.

Predictions (I'm normally pretty awful at this)...my predictions in bold...

Steelers @ Chiefs
Patriots @ Bills
Raiders @ Bengals

Eagles @ Buccaneers
49ers @ Cowboys
Cardinals @ Rams

I went for the last two purely on the basis that not all the games are going to be home wins...

Always difficult to predict.

Steelers @ Chiefs Too much offense. Steelers really arent very good.
Patriots @ Bills Don't know why, just do
Raiders @ Bengals Hate the Raiders, but they are on a roll.

Eagles @ Buccaneers Never liked the Eagles
49ers @ Cowboys Home field advantage
Cardinals @ Rams Cards spanked them early in the season but Rams got revenge. Think they will do it again.

No, 'I' hate the Raiders and I don't like predicting a win for them.

Haha! I see...Of course I remember now going on tour of Mile High Stadium...the old guy taking us round reminded us at 5 minute intervals how much he hated the Raiders Grin Before the games were played yesterday, if I could have chosen who the Bengals played I would have gone with the Raiders...goes without saying of course that any game in the play offs is going to be hard...
