I really hope that's not true. I'd naively hoped that we had banished the greed from the club with the preseason cull. Hoped that we had a group of players together who wanted to work as a team, rather than using their situation as a stepping stone to something better. Oh well.

Of course it's bollocks. I have a friend who's a fan of Man U, he doesn't know anymore about contract negotiations with "their players" than my dogs. He just happens to read the forums and believe the 80%.

Just spoke to a Eagle fan and he knows a few youth players at Palace, they are convinced Wes is to sign however he wants a release clause in the contract should we not be promoted and also a minimum transfer trigger fee should a bigger club come in as well as a buy back clause? Imagine this is accurate info, mates normally spot on when it comes to Palace transfer news. I think we should get him on loan and then sign when he is out of contract, still think Palace are waiting on theyre keepers fitness as well. Worrying all the same that no deal has been signed.

Get him on loan and sign when out of contract?  Didn't he recently sign a new deal with Palace?  if so we'll be waiting a while

Nah there was talk of it but pretty sure he didn't sign in the end. Still suspect the majority of that post is bollocks mind.

If this did happen to be true i wouldnt have a problem with a deal like that.

The only things that matters this season is going up and having Wes between the sticks helps our chances massively, do whatever it takes to get him signed and then worry about the contract clauses after we get promoted.

Quick fixes never last though, do they. Surely it is more important to secure the deal properly and have the future plans for the club on the right track.

Hopefully it's all shite anyhow.

It has been at their end for a while now. Just Another point he tweeted about 30mins ago that he was off for tea and biscuits with his entourage for the next few hours. Sounds like business to me. Let's hope he is having his photo done with his scarf held high above his head. Or I could just be completely wrong and it's just me wanting to believed that's what's happening !

Gary Rose tweeted to say it looks like it's all going through today, so nothing at all to worry about.

Get ready for the scarf pic...
