I have a lot of black friends who cant stand being called black and dont like the term coloured either, not when its directed at them or to them so I never bring it up, I also have an American friend who is black and insists on being called Afro American, nothing else will do!

Some people are just after confrontation and argument no matter what, its all fucking pathetic, as for A.H. comments.....they werent meant as an insult so why take offence and its not like it was calling him the "N" word which is racist and offensive (unless its said by one black to another then its fine)

Yet its still fine to call someone a fat bastard or a ginger fucker etc there is no difference at all IMO so where does it all end?

I overheard the term in a pub one bloke talking about the Scots as being "blue wogs"......best of both world of insults there then! an insult and a racist term all in one.

I used the term 'Red Indian' at work the other day, (perfectly innocently), and got roundly critisised for it. Apparently I should have used the term 'Native Amercian', since Red Indians has connotations assocaited with the oppression of these people by the pale faces (pales faces is allowed btw), and the systematically forcing thme off their land..

yeah right, and I was there back in the 1830s or whatever, on the front fucking lines of the cavalry..no really.

Jeez, I wish someone would keep us better up to date of what we can and cant say..its hard work.

In yesterday's Sun Newspaper,i was quoted as saying "Coloured,what colour would that be? Green? Blue? Orange?"


The suggestion in the story is that this was in direct to response to Alan Hansen's comments on MOTD.

It was not.

I was responding on twitter to a rash of comments asking if i minded being called coloured,to am i coloured or black?,to less polite comments.


My reply did not name Alan Hansen,or refer to him in any way,whatsoever,and i defy anyone reading my twitter feed to see Alan Hansen's name in any way mentioned.

I have not spoken to the Sun Newspaper,been interviewed by them or asked for a quote from them.

Therefore to use a quote not even naming Alan Hansen as the stick to beat him with in an article,completely misrepresents my quote,and frankly is unfair and wrong.

If i want to have a go at someone,i'll quite happily name them.

So i ask politely that the Sun & any other newspaper that have attributed my quotes to the Alan Hansen story to remove them from their websites.

I will be making a complaint to the PCC.

Barton annoyed me the other week, when he was trying to start a campaign to stop factor getting to number one. He really thought he was going to make a difference, even though the military wives campaign had started weeks before he jumped on someone elses bandwagon. Poor bloke really didn't have a clue.

Collymore was alright a few months ago but he's getting too caught up in everything that goes on. And when it comes down to it his history is so chequered I find it hard to respect the bloke.

they are also known as porridge wogs , what annoys me is the fact that if you listen to radio 1 xtra its always advertised as being the home of black music,imagine a radio station playing white music , you will never win on this subject because the mention of the word colour you are racist

Who is to say whether "coloured" is acceptable or not - I am pretty sure it's not you !!

If I have friends that are "coloured" and they tell me they would prefer "coloured" to "black" - Shall I tell them they are wrong and frankly are offending me
