I can remember, not so long ago, you weren't allowed to call blacks "blacks". You were supposed to refer to them as "coloureds". What's next? White people outraged because they are really hint of pink or mellow yellow? Anyone taking offence needs to get back in the real world. I'll tell you what, nowadays, unless you're black, gay or a woman, or preferably all three, you can't say anything without being accused of being something or other.

I'm far from someone who embraces political correctness, but like "half-caste", describing someone as "coloured" is wrong and offensive in my opinion and he's right to have to apologise.
