I don't get the Timlin hatred. He just wants to play football. Seems to me Di Canio froze him out so fair play to him for looking for another club rather than sitting on the bench taking our money.

I always liked Timlin, I think he was very underated during his time at Swindon.

I have no issue with Timlin, never quite managed to reach top gear at Swindon - something he obviously manages at Southend week-in, week out.

Ferry and Smith are fab as our first choice midfield pairing, but if we had Timlin as understudy I'd be quite happy.

I do believe we need another attacking minded central midfielder, the only other one we have is McCormack.
