I've just bought series 1 of The Wire as always meant to watch it. I think Scrubs is one of the best shows ever made. And I really do think that. I originally hated it and my ex-flatmate used to insist on watching it every night. I inevitably watched some and began to realise it's superb. He also got me into Family Guy and anal.

Yeah, i found it similar. But if you grind through the first 4 or 5 episodes you really get into it (and get used to the accents/way of talking of the drugs gangs), as well as understanding the characters and their relationships. It's worth the effort...
This is a fair assessment. By half way through series 1 I was engrossed

Me too. Children of Earth was pretty much perfect for the last 3 episodes. But this time its sold its sole to the devil (well American money). Its a good idea, but its utter tripe, over Americanised and stupidly slowly paced. In short either CoE was a fluke, or they really cocked it up. But I have to watch now as its so close to the end.

Perfectly put. I too am gonna see it out because I've come this far (aware how gay that sounds) but this series has been very underwhelming and disappointing to say the least. Also, far too much gay sex for my liking!

Boo, I assumed she'd completely left, as I thought she disappeared during the series where he was mental(er). In that case they should state at the start of each episode if it has thirteen in it, then I can drool my way through it if she is. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Big fan of the Wire and most of the HBO dramas are pretty good - the latest one, Game of Thrones definitely worth a watch. At the other end of the spectrum, Dealiest Warrior on Bravo was amazing for completely different reasons.

I saw that earlier. I love that program. Talking of a few bob though, one of the things I really love about the show is that it sometimes illustrates how much bang you can really get for your buck. There's been some stunning houses built for amounts far below what their looks seem to portray.
