Mental rumour of the day alert:

BBC Sport's Paul Fletcher on Twitter: "Rumours flying around that Brighton a close to signing former Valencia winger Vicente may not be all that wide of the mark. There is a strong possibility the club may have news on the 30-year-old in an hour or so."

38 caps for Spain, UEFA Cup and 2x La Liga winner signing for Brighton at the age of 30.

I know they're doing rather well at the moment, but I'm still not accepting Brighton as a big club. The fact that it seems to have actually happened is fairly baffling.

Vicente has been very injury prone recently hardly played a game in the last  2 years....a bit like Gordon Greer...oh

We took a punt on Gordon Greer... are you suggesting that we make a move on Vicente?

I'd rather take a punt on the Isis.

Abdullah on loan confirmed by the club's Facebook, where he's listed as a midfielder. Till January.

What happens after January? Is he like Cinderella......turns back into a striker from then on?
