Until recently I don't think I'd read so much praise for Amankwaah. Funny what happens when someone is out of the side.
Fact of the matter is that this is another gaping hole within our defensive cover.

For all the talk about getting rid of our scouting network, lower league types like Wilson and Sturrock seem to manage a decent living by continually signing the same 15 players they trust over a ten year career. You get the impression they are signing for character and attitude and what they'll bring to the dressing room as much as ability*.
In a way, it's the complete opposite to PdC, who signs people without even knowing how good they are, let alone what they are like as people.
(*However, Wilson did sign Prutton, which totally undermines this argument).

Gary Rose reporting that there are no more signings today. No Boateng.
Not much defensive cover for a week or two.

[Outrageous claim] Maybe they get a cut of each deal? [/outrageous claim]

Surely any club will think twice before loaning us any of their players after last nights debacle? This really needs to be sorted out pronto.Sorry to see Manks go, though not at all surprised, rather a crass error by the management I fear .

I presume the Timlin loan has a "No playing against us next week and making us look stupid for letting you go" clause.
