Barnet fans didn't rate Devera at RB, they said he was much better when moved to CB.

This forum is bloody good at welcoming newcomers, talk about cliquey, I have posted about 20 times and at least 3 of you have had a go at me FFS, OK maybe because i am new that my opinion doesnt count as much as your "longer members".

Dissappointing to say the least, I know its been mentioned before that new member are not welcomed and now I see how that feels, I have read this forum for many years and never posted before and this does go to prove that some of the older arguments about not welcoming new members is right.

Not every new member is a Pox fan out to disrupt things, some of us are genuine people and life long supporters of Swindon and not out to just have an argument.

Either that or I have jumped in on a day when several members are suffering from PMT.

Timlin should definitely keep his place imo

Who gets dropped ('going forward') for Comazzi then? Pretty sure it's not going to be Devera. Longer term, although I'd love Timlin to prove me wrong, I don't see him as a part of our midfield week-in, week-out.

If you think having an argument with DV is the victimisation of a newcomer you clearly haven't been reading long enough. Keep calm, carry on, and enjoy the banter... even if/when you're right and everybody else is stubbornly wrong Smiley

Haha. You've either misread the article or not explaining yourself very well. Barry has pointed this out, and I guess DV has too (though much more bluntly). No-ones victimising you at all - you've made a statement which appears very much wrong, and a couple others have pointed it out.

This place is nowhere as bad as it used to be

It's nothing to do with being a newcomer. (Welcome by the way!) Cheesy

For the record, in the clique, only OST can get away with posting anything and stating it as fact. Fact.

Not here at all to be high fived, just feels a bit daunting for a newcomer as there does sometimes seem to be a put a wall up around yourselfs.

This is not a problem and I will enjoy the banter as thats what its about - FACT (see is that how its done OST?) Cheesy

I may have missinterpreted the article or on the ther hand the Adver may have missreported what was said blah blah blah etc.

I just want us to be up there come May and with a steady keeper in place and I personally dont care which keeper that is as long as he gives his all for Swindon every game, we can all forgive some mistakes but not a mistake a game that our keepers seemed to do last season and that was in pretty much every game, and it was always punished.

Should be a little easier to get away with the occassional mistake in this league as the players are generally not of the same skill as the players in the league above.

Good luck to Smith and Lanzano and I hope the competition brings the best out of both players.

No you were right...insofar as you interpreted an Adver article how it was intended. If you are right then it doesn't much matter what others think as long as you've taken their arguments into account.  There isn't really a clique on here, more a fascist tendency, who react without due thought to counter argument.

that article angered phil smith and his family as it was aload of bollocks concocted by the author of it.
he doesn't accept being no2 keeper at all and wants to play.

Can definitely believe that. Did seem a bit of a coincidence that the official site posted a very contradictory interview with Smith the same day/day after.
