Obviously most people have already summed up what I thought about first half/second half from the Crewe game in that matchday thread.

For me, it's one thing winning at home, but I think we'll learn a lot more from the games at Cheltenham and Daggers. Win them and we're on to something good.

So, judging by what you say on Saturday, what would your team be? i was impressed with McCormack and connell, so...

Smith

Caddis
Flint
Comazzi?
Kennedy

Ritchie
Risser
McCormack
Timlin - i would have Esejas over him. Timlin had a good game, but Esejas would give us natural width.

de Vita/Bodin
Connell

Thought Bodin had a good game, some neat touches. de vita held the ball up ok, but Connell seems like he'll get in dangerous areas more.

I would agree with that lineup. From the Cheltenham and Dagenham games I would think 4 points has to be a realistic target.

Generally agree with that Juddie but it's all down to whether Di Canio believes in the not changing a winning team cliche.

Well PdC has already said that as soon as Lanzano is fit then he will take the keeper spot, for that to not happen I think Smithy will have to play even more out of his skin otherwise he will be certainly displaced.

Has he?

After he started with Billy Bodin on Saturday, he was preaching the complete opposite.

I'd go with the same team as Juddie.

But its tricky this early into the season. Based on what we saw and what we know I'd have McCormack and Ferry as our starting middle two. I was not impressed with the starters.

Yet Risser must be better than he's shown or he wouldn't be captain. And Devera looked dodgy, yet he has a lot of league 2 experience and must be better than that to win a player of the year award.

We have to be mindful that the majority of the team have not played much league 2 football. There has to be an adjustment to get "match fit", adjust to the time and space available in this league.

I think if City put a decent team out we will struggle, but they are two leagues above so rightly so.

In which case I don't think Smith will be turfed out without foundation. The Adver says Lanzano was bought in as number 1 and also says, "However, the former Crawley shotstopper feels that as soon as Lanzano is fit again, he will find himself back on the bench."

The way I see it is just because Wilson always dropped Phil when Lucas could be bothered, doesn't mean dC will when Lanzano is fit.

I think PdC should play whoever is in form, if thats Smith then great but if he has a dip in form then swap over, keep every player on their toes.

I think Smith's place is his to lose after saturday. Risser will keep his place because he's captain, although in taking him off PDC looked willing to look at the others.

i think J Smith will be biggest casualty from Sat. I like the look of him, but he had a poor game at the weekend.

from what I listened to and have seen, I agree about J Smith I can't see him playing Tuesday, I think De Vita needs a good game to stop Bodin from taking his place back when he returns, also can't see Comazzi not playing so expect Devera to get the boot as dropping Flint would be madness.

This is a tough one, as I can't judge players on just one game.

If I was PdC I would be looking at the right back position as a possible change, and also look at starting Ferry in centre mid, as I think he is the one most likely to bring the ball forward and support the front 2.

I guess Connell will start with Kerrouch on the bench.
