I agree Benny.

I still think an experienced centre half is going to be critical to whoever else is in the defence. LJF needs support and encouragement but he seems to get the blame for everything.

I hope Douglas stays.

I have a felling McGovern will be next to leave..

Absolutely. LJF gets alot of unjustified stick in my opinion. Best ball playing CB we've got/had in a while. Just needs to hone his defencive skills.
I think it's critical we keep Dougie or at the very least make sure we keep and play Ferry regularly.

If Cuthbert had stayed we would need to sign an experienced CH to play alongside him (as he proved with his performances last season).

With him gone we still need an experienced CH to play alongside either LJF or Flint.

On that basis, bye Scott thanks for one good season & a poor one

Ultimately next season it's irrelevent but we are a bigger club. We have more fans, more potential fans, better catchment area, better board, better stadium (which is due to be redevolped).

Orient are in a higher division but no way are they a bigger club than us. No chance.

Definitely.  In terms of long term potential, I think we have more going for us than most of the sides in League 1 next season.  That's why last season's relegation was so galling.  It never should have happened.  (But it did!)

Ardiles, we have to use this season as a spring board to try and achieve back to back promotions. It can be acheived with the momentum. Look at Hull, Peterborough, Southend, it's possible. Even with Norwich and Stevenage this season and Watford a decade ago.

....not to mention a certain STFC in 85/86 and 86/87  Hmmm

I do agree.  As Big Shaun says, we've done it before (slightly before my time, mind) and many others have done it since.

I don't want to come over all Leeds/Sheff Weds, but always felt last season that we were one of the better supported and better run (to a degree) clubs in League 1.  In League 2, we will have a huge advantage over almost all of the other clubs in the division.  Paolo's job is to translate that in to results.  Swindon expects, PDC.  Total rebuilding job required, but you're going to be judged rather quickly.

He'd represented Scotland at every level from a young age apart from full international cap, he had spent a season in the SPL with St Mirren and was one of Celtic's most highly rated young players so yes he would have had a decent salary for sure.  As people have said since then hes given us one great season and one poor season so he is no great loss!

As I say if we could have coaxed Sean O back him and Cuthbert could have been immense in L2.

I wouldn't have wanted to see O'hanlon back here. He needs to find 'A big club', like franchise.

Oh, wait..

Fact is if PD has saw videos of last season then there will be none of last seasons squad here.....that wouldn't worry me in the least.
Really hope we get another good stopper....JPM and Douglas would be the only players i would keep.
A fresh start with young hungry players is needed.

Wouldn't keep Ritchie or Caddis then?
