Maybe I missed out on the 'joke' but why do you have a Norwich player in your Avatar and is it Darren Eadie?
It was my first choice for our new manager. Mr. Ian Culverhouse.

And a fine job he has done with Paul Lambert at Norwich!

I thought this was all a joke. Orient? Really?
Why would you go there?

Because they're in a higher fucking division!? But seriously, who cares? Good riddance to anyone who leaves this summer. (Ferry excepted.)

Look at it in the long term though. Orient will never be more than a League 1 club. If miraculously they managed to get promoted they would come straight back down.

Not surprised he left, am surprised he has gone to Orient. After last season that was the best offer he could get I suppose.
Disappointed myself. His form was as poor as everybody else's last season, but he had a lot of promise that first year. Oh well there is always Misun. Oh wait, no there isn't

Shame, lots of unrealized potential.

"I'm absolutely delighted to sign here," he said. "When I heard about the interest in me, I was really keen to come down here and get things sorted.
"It's moved quickly, I've had a chat with the manager and it seems like a great club that wants to move forward. I'm delighted to be a part of that.
"The manager's feeling really excited about the new season and after speaking to him, so am I. Staying in League 1 is great for me and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in now.
"That first season at Swindon was fantastic and it got me a lot of experience about being at the top of the division and pushing for the play-offs.
"Hopefully we can do the same this season at Leyton Orient and go one better than last year and get into that top-six."
Cuthbert joins Ben Chorley and Terrell Forbes in fighting for the O's central defensive slots and the former Scotland U21 international is looking forward to the challenge.
He continued: "I played in Scotland for a few years before I had the chance to move to Swindon and I spent two years there.
"I'm quite quick for a centre half and half decent on the ball and in the air. I just bring a different option to the manager and it's up to me now to get into pre-season, get fit and show that I'm worthy of being in the starting 11 at the start of the season."
There is one familiar face already in the O's ranks for Cuthbert, as Alex Revell enjoyed a loan spell at the County Ground from Southend in late 2009.
"I'm really pally with Alex and I got to know him quite well at Swindon," he added. "He came here last season and has been fantastic for this club.
"It's always nice when you have a friendly face when you first go into a changing room and I'm sure the rest of the boys will make me feel welcome as well."

I got a bit pissed off watching lots of unrealized potential last season. We had a good season out of him and a shit one, who's to say the first one wasn't a one-off? When the going got tough he, and a lot of others, were invisible. No great loss.

Let them have our shit from last season. To be honest Cuthbert isn't actually that bad though. I'm more concerned about who we will be signing. If we really do have quality players lined up then we can afford to let the likes of Cuthbert and Sheehan go.

I'm guessing that Bodin and others at the club would have had a good amount of influence on who was retained so it can't be just down to PdC seeing some horrors from last season.
Like most I really rated Cuthbert the previous season, but realistically we need to get an experienced CB in anyway (as all would agree) and with LJF and Flint in the squad we have more pressing need for spending the wage bill on strengthening other positions than paying what would be needed to get Cuthbert to stay.
A tough one which may turn out to be wrong in the long-term but as of now it's probably the bext short-term outcome.

PdC has seen videos of last season.
It's no surprise he wants to fuck most of them off out the door.
Spineless cunts the lot of them.
Well said, seconded.

Given a choice I'd have opted for LJF over Cuthbert anyway. As long as we get a grizzly old, experienced CB to play alongside LJF/Flint then this is no big loss.
