Hasn't his Spanish academy been moved back to the UK now though, hence the reason Hoddle was at the County Ground recently?

I can't see it happening sadly as much as I want it to. I hope we do tie-in with his academy though, we've had some good players in recent years who have been rejected by Premiership clubs before their careers have taken off.

Yes, he's been punting his academy and potential tie-ups round a few clubs

I wouldn't want Hoddle here but not for the same reasons as Dave. It'll just end up being an academy love fest for him. Remember the 3 Amigos? What a disaster that was.

Swindon legend.  (I'm told that, like Ossie, he used to play for Spurs as well, but couldn't vouch for that.)  Would have him back in a heartbeat.

Come back 'Judas'.  All is forgiven.

Me too. Did you lump any money on Hoddle or Calderwood before the odds dropped? I forgot.

I do not want Hoddle as manager. The game has moved on

In fairness, Hoddle is still very much within the game and the fact that he looks after young Prem/Championship rejects could only benefit a lower league club like Swindon.

Luckily, I didn't miss out on seeing Glenn Hoddle's Swindon Town side and the football on show was brilliant and even at my young age, I could appreciate it at the time. Plus he got us Shaun Taylor.

This is just a bit of a non-story is all.

Didn't Wray already come out and rubbish the Hoddle rumours?

He said that the manager will be one of the 22 and that none of them were from Hoddle. He didn't say "if hoddle rang me up tomorrow I'd tell him to fuck off because he missed the application deadline". Although he also didn't say "if hoddle rang me up tomorrow I'd appoint him on the spot."

Do we know what his favourite cheese is yet?

Yes, he did.

But does that really mean anything? (although I very much doubt Hoddle will be the new boss)

I think Hoddle would be silly or desperate to take the job. Too risky to ruin his cult status.
