Think that's the difference. Last season was unexpectedly great, then punctuated by one (admittedly very) disappointing defeat at the end.
This year from about January(?) onward we've been slowly sliding towards the inevitable, getting your hopes up each week that they'll start to turn it round only to be kicked in the teeth by the same old shit. As the weeks go by that hope fades and fades until you see realise we need to win 6 of our last 7 games to stay up and you wonder how it has got this bad. Excruciating.

Blame the players. On paper the most talented bunch that we've had at Swindon for quite a while. In reality a shower of shit. Don't start or we'll have Reg on here telling us how they're the worst team since 1634...

Quite....I always think as the PO's as a dog's chance....you've proved not good enough to go up by finishing 5th or something then get a second chance...great if you take it, nothing really lost if you don't. This season I regard as the betrayal of the heritage of a once proud club....

I don't see how anyone could feel last season's disappointment was bigger than the shit we've endured since last August.
This whole season has been one long torture fest.
Agree and can't wait for it to end.

If nothing else it has served to root out the plastic element of our support. The ones who won't go because it is League 2.
I guess they'll be back when we win a few games :-)

Everybody seems to be forgetting that last season wasn't that great. Paynter wasn't all that, even dropped for a couple of games so he could get his head right. Anybody remember him at Walsall away? Scored a pen, missed a pen and missed three sitters. Countles 1 1 draws where we couldn't buy a win. A torrid display at Norwich where the Town fans were calling for Austin, a player that we hadn't even seen up to that point. Then luck. Austins a gem and more luck he brings the best out of Paynter. Third bit of luck. Ward kicks in with a couple of months of decent games. All in all our great season boils down to three months at best. Still, that's three months that we didn't get this season.

Anybody else feel the same?
Narrowly missing out on promotion to the Championship or getting relegated to div 4. What makes me feel worse? Let me think about it..... ...nope....I guess I don't feel the same as you Bogus Dave. Not even close.
