the game where they stuffed us 3-0.
plenty of their play came down the flanks that day.granted they did hit it long at times, but it was far from hoofball.

I thought it was hoofball. First goal definitely was, after we had played some nice stuff. Then after that they just stopped us playing.

Most frustrating game of last season.

Boothroyd is a proper long ball merchant.

Within League Two, Trollope would be a decent appointment... League One? Well he wouldn't be out of his depth.

Boothroyd would probably just bugger off after 8 months if a bigger club came in anyway (like he did with Colchester). That's the problem with appointing such managers.

The days of Swindon appointing "WOW" names are long gone... I'm not saying that Boothroys would be a 'wow' manager but you know what I mean Smiley (I hope)

I don't think anyone would slate me for assuming that we're going down.

To be fair though we could be league two i don't think we are in any position to dictate who we would want as manager.

I don't know what game you watched but I felt a draw might have been a bit unfair; to say we were stuffed is ridiculous. It was also so hoofy it made Sam Allardyce look like Wenger.

I think we should take inspiration from the recent Samsung thing and run a "next STFC manager" competition.

We'd have to start now so that the potentials could take charge of a few reserve games before taking over for a few extra friendlies post season.

It wouldn't have to be just unknowns going for the job, there's enough out of work candidates out there to make it interesting. Andy King might even re-apply.

It might seem like a silly publicity stunt on the front of it, but it would also put the club in the front position on hiring, instead of the other way round.

we created very little that day.i remember ward having a decent effort, but apart from that fuck all for us.no way anywhere near deserving a draw.
it was a comfortable win for them.
they were quite direct but hey they won,and boothroyd on a tiny budget did a good job for them.
