Uh, better pre-match entertainment. Perhaps fire breathing dogs jumping through hoops being held by busty wenches.
Couldn't be too busty or they wouldn't get through the hoops. Not while holding the dogs anyway

for all you criticising our man on the mic and maoning about the pre match entertainment, what would you like to see?
The problem's not the pre-match entertainment, it's the during-the-match entertainment. If that was better, no-one would give a toss. Seems ridiculously unfair the amount of flak this bloke's taken just because everyone's grumpy because we're shit

I've improved my matchday experience (and probably some of the others around me) by simply not going...

Pre-match entertainment for me consists of this.

http://img01.beerintheevening.com/4e/4e9cbfb3a41021cc9940c14f25a28615.jpg

Teenage gymnastic displays and a bloke with a microphone walking around an empty pitch are irrelevant.  And Paul's right.  Are we honestly saying that the bloke with the mike is there to generate atmosphere?  Of course not.  The atmosphere will be there in the stands if the fans are up for it...and that will happen when we start winning again.

Perhaps if matchday prices weren't so fucking expensive we wouldn't feel the need for any "entertainment".

I go for the banter, then the football. The rest is bollocks. Some bellend shouting Red Army in a think Swindon accent and then 10 nine year olds who can't dance prancing around is fucking pointless and is probably one of the many reasons we are regarded as a tinpot club/town.

It's fucking embarrasing.

Why would people be in the ground half an hour before kick off anyway?

 Crying

There's a bloke on Twitter, @fanhousepercy, who normally calls everything pretty much spot on, he's a Forest fan but a jounrno too, he reckon's Hart for Swindon is pretty much nailed on.

As for Hart himself, sorry guys but don't expect miracles.  Whilst he's a very good coach, especially at Academy level (Leeds - Bowyer, Kelly, Harte, Smith, Woodgate etc; Forest - Reid, Dawson, Harewood, Williams, Prutton(!)), man-management isn't one of his better skills.

He had two good years at Forest 2001-03, but his tactics got 'found out' in the end, likes to play a 4-4-2 using the diamond formation, so expect Prutton to be deployed on the right-hand side of the diamond - unless you've got better?  Admittedly, our glorious chairman, who decided at the end of the 2002/03 season that he would rather give his money to charity than overpaid footballers (his exact words) decided that Jim Brennan, Riccy Scimeca, Jack Lester and Jon Hjelde weren't worthy of new contracts and Darren Huckerby wasn't worthy of being signed, which lead to our play-off squad being broken up.  After that we went on a long winless run, and Hart was relieved of his job in February 2004, only to be replaced by Joke-in-Ear.

Should Hart get the job at the County Ground, he'll certainly try and add some stability, he won't take fools lightly, but unfortunately he's not that clued up tactically, if plan A fails, there's rarely a plan B.  And his successes at other clubs don't make for glorious reading either, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Portsmouth and Palace stuggled to stay up or fell away quickly after early promising starts (not too dissimilar to his time at Forest), he's a cheap option, and a nice bloke, but for me, that's where it ends.

If he is appointed though, which looks likely, I hope he does a good job, I really do, it'll be a shame to see Town suffer another relegation,, but maybe the change is just what you need right now?

Sounds just like Danny Wilson!

(Oooo-iiii-oooo he was just like Danny Wilson...)

I really do hope he will save us from relegation, but Andrew Fitton has proved himself to be a total fluke when it comes to hiring managers, so we can only hope that he doesn't thread the same paths again...
